Executive Program
The professional staff at Morningside Recovery isn’t going to try to take away your cell phone or laptop. We know that executive men and women who want to recover from addiction and/or co-occurring disorders have unique needs and Morningside’s psychologists, therapists, and counselors have helped numerous busy professionals meet their treatment goals. Our comprehensive program is based on clinical necessity, and is usually scheduled for three months of residential treatment. However, we recognize that all recoveries are different and can design a flexible program.
The residential curriculum consists of individual and group therapy. All meetings are led by one of our professional clinicians. Clients also attend educational seminars on managing cravings, relapse prevention, and recognizing triggers that lead to substance abuse. The heart of our executive treatment track focuses on ways to handle the stress, anger and depression associated with new sobriety.
For those who have already successfully completed a residential program -- or in some cases we accept a candidate who has yet to complete a residential program -- Morningside offers an intensive executive outpatient program. This program generally involves evening attendance in one of our private meeting rooms. During Morningside’s outpatient treatment clients learn how make the most of community resources such as NA, AA, RR and LR. Therapists help clients integrate the tools picked up in these programs into their lives. Also, our clinicians provide referrals for community-based care with local therapists, psychiatrists or doctors.
All clients have a case manager who supports the recovery process. Case mangers provide quality professional counseling for clients and their family members. Some of the ways case managers help clients include:
- Assisting in identifying and understanding the defense mechanisms that support addiction.
- Facilitating self-exploration regarding the consequences of addiction and untreated mood disorders.
- Counseling in crisis intervention and client referral.
- Facilitating the development of alternatives to alcohol/drug use or abuse.
- Assisting in the development of life-management skills that support recovery.
Our dedicated staff makes Morningside a leader in executive-track treatment. Our philosophy is simple: We help individuals get sober through proven, evidence-based approaches, and we help clients maintain a life free of alcohol, drugs and other disorders.
